Thai Airways Launches Bangkok–Sendai Flight

Thai Airways, the flag carrier airline of Thailand, is going to launch direct flights between the capital city of Bangkok, Thailand and Sendai, the capital city of Miyagi Prefecture, Japan.

Scheduled flights will commence on October, 29.

Sendai will become Thai Airways’ 6th destination in Japan. The airline already operates direct flights between Bangkok and Tokyo, Nagoya, Osaka, Fukuoka and Sapporo.

The Bangkok-Sendai route will be operated three times a week leaving Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi airport on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. In the opposite direction flights are scheduled to leave Sendai Airport on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. From Bangkok, Thai Airways will offer a late night flight to Sendai at 11.50 pm which will arrive to Sendai the next morning at 7.30 am. From Sendai, flights will leave at 11.15 am and land in Bangkok at 4.05 pm. Flight duration in each direction is about 6 hours. Sendai is 2 hours ahead of Bangkok.

Currently there are no direct flights that link Bangkok and Sendai.

The new route will be served with Boeing 777-200 aircraft accommodating 30 Royal Silk Class passengers and 279 Economy Class passengers.
