Shenzhen Gets Its Own Raffles Hotel

A new luxury hotel belogning to Accor Hotels has recently opened in the Chinese city of Shenzhen. The Raffles Shenzhen sits at One Shenzhen Bay and has direct connections to the adjacent Qianhai Economic Zone in the rapidly developing Nanshan District.

The 72-floor building of Raffles Shenzhen hosts 168 hotel rooms and the world’s highest music hall that is located on the 71st floor. There are also some Raffles Residences and other luxury facilities including a helipad, office space, a car showroom, international clubs, and more.

Six F&B outlets, 3,000 sqm of event space that includes a column-free grand ballroom and eight multifunction halls, a spa, fitness center, indoor swimming pool, a jacuzzi, vitality pool and a sauna are all gathered under the roof of the Raffles Shenzhen hotel. The architecture of Raffles Shenzhen was developed by a Manhattan-based architect Kohn Pederson Fox Associates (KPF), the interior design was provided by Dubai’s LW Design.

Shenzhen, China's southeastern modern metropolis links Hong Kong and Macau to China’s mainland, namely the city of Guangzhou. It is a key component to the government’s plans for the Greater Bay Area. The new hotel promises to become a business and lifestyle travellers hotspot.
