This Summer Travel india and Marvel

IRCTC, a subsidiary of the government owned Indian Railways, has prepared a special summer treat for travellers. A package named Marvel of the East is a 5 nights 6 days travel itinerary that can be joined on June, 11 only. But you can always tailor-make your trip following the same route and choosing your preferred means of transportation.

Marvel of the East package starts at Bhubaneshwar, an ancient city in India’s eastern state of Odisha, formerly Orissa. It further brings travellers by plane to Kalimpong, an east Indian hill town in the Himalayan foothills of West BengalGangtok, the mountainous northern Indian state of Sikkim; and Darjeeling, located in India's West Bengal state, in the very foothills of the mighty Himalaya mountains. Widely considered the gems of North East India, both Gangtok and Darjeeling are  breathtakingly beautiful. Their elevated position at about 1650 m and 2040 m respectively allow visitors to enjoy cool balmy temperatures in summer there making the both an ideal destination for a summer family escape or a honeymoon.

If flying is not your thing, all the destinations of this itinerary can be reached overland, too. While it does require time to cover about 1000 km and reach Kalimpong from Bhubaneshwar, you have a choice of buses and trains. It is only 75 km from Kalimpong to Gangtok and some 100 km from Gangtok to Darjeeling.
