The Indian Railways have recently opened booking for a unique trip on a historic steam express between Garhi Harsaru and Farukhnagar. This short 11 km journey will take just under half an hour. The route will be served by a steam engine train, and it is the first time it is back to operation after an over half-a-century hiatus. The Steam Express features a WP7200 AZAD, a broad gauge 1947 steam engine. The train has been revamped and now looks exactly as it used to. All the mechanical work has been done to perfection.
