Air Astana plans to use Boeing 767-300ER aircraft on the route with a configuration of 193 economy and 30 business class seats. The flights are scheduled for Mondays and Thursdays with a departure time of 01:35 from Astana.
The flight is due to land at Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok at 09:55 local time. The return flight departs at 11:05 and arrives back in Astana at 18:00.
Air Astana says it is inaugurating the new route to cater to increasing demand for holidays in Thailand and the rest of Southeast Asia. The carrier already offers a daily service from Kazakhstan’s biggest city, Almaty, to Bangkok.
The new route provides an extra option for European travellers. Air Astana also flies between Astana Airport and London, Paris, Moscow and St Petersburg. Booking a flight to Bangkok with a stopover at Astana can offer significant savings when compared to the cost of direct Europe to Thailand flights.
