Six Flags Come to China

The first ever Six Flags Theme Park in China will be opened in JiaxingZhejiang, an eastern coastal province of China. It will be located on the shore in Hangzhou Bay, some 90 km from Shanghai city centre.

The park will feature seven areas. The main themes of the park will be Looney Tunes, Garfield and Friends, and Tuzki. The water park area, Six Flags Hurricane Harbor water park, will have original rides and will follow the main concenpt of Six Flags Hurricane water parks in the US. 

It is estimated that the park will be opened for public the next year. One year later, Six Flags Kids World Zhejiang, sitting next to Six Flags Zhejiang and designed especially for families with young children, will be completed. The Chinese version is a collaboration of the US-based Six Flags Entertainment Company and Riverside Investment Group from China.

Six Flags Entertainment Corporation is an amusement park corporation from the Unites States founded in 1961. The corporation has the largest number of properties among other world's amusement companies. Its properties are located in the USA, Canada and Mexico. In terms of attendance, Six Flags are ranked seventh worldwide.
