IRCTC Offers South India's Temple Tour Package

IRCTC, Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation, a subsidiary of Indian Railways, introduced their latest offering – Ram Sethu tour package that will take visitors on a 3-night 4-day temple tour in South India.

The program of the Ram Sethu Express – Tamil Nadu Temple Tour will cover visiting of 18 temples in four days. The maiden trip is planned for February, 28. The tour will allow tourists to explore rich historical and cultural treasures of the southern temples. Along with some of the most notable temples in Tamil Nadu state – e.g. Ranganathaswamy, Jambukeswarar, Samayapuram Mariamman, Thiruvanaikaval, Sundareswarar Meenakshi Amman, Navagraha, and Brihadeeswara – the tour features less known temples which are often skipped by visitors but nevertheless deserve attention.

Tours will depart from and arrive back to Chennai's Tambaram Railway Station. The cost of the tour (INR4885) includes sleeper class train ticket, non-AC road transport, accommodation in dharamshalas and vegetarian meals.

It is not the first tour packaged offered by IRCTC. Their Bharat Darshan tour enjoys great popularity among budget travellers and covers some of the most important tourist destinations and attractions across the country. IRCTC also offers packaged tours for luxury trains like Buddhist Circuit Train and Maharajas' Express.
