Next Generation Computer System for Philippine Airlines to Be Set in March

Philippine Airlines, the national flag carrier of the Philippines, will upgrade their computer system in March this year. It will probably help the airline to become a 5-star airline, thus getting one of the highest global recognitions in the aviation industry.

The makeover of the computer system will ensure a better and seamless booking-to-boarding experience for the passengers facilitating the booking process and allowing faster check-in and smoother connecting flight transfers. Passengers will be able to receive real-time alerts for their flight changes as well as apply online for cash plus miles redemption. According to the airline, it will become much more convenient to purchase tickets. The representatives of PAL said they put a lot of effort to make the new system more user-friendly and reliable to enhance overall satisfaction of passengers.

PAL president CEO Jaime Bautista said: “Every Filipino traveler, every tourist visiting our homeland, every OFW and business person, deserves reliable quality service from the Philippines’ only global airline, and we are determined to carry on our transformation for the greater good of the flying public."

In February, 2018, Philippine Airlines were awarded with a 4-star rating by the UK-based consultancy firm Skytrax. A year later, the airline is looking to become the Philippines' first carrier to get 5 stars.
