With two new destinations in Laos, Vientiane the capital and Luang Prabang, the Unesco World Heritage site, Scoot's route network now covers 68 destinations in 19 countries.
The sale of new direct flights was launched on Scoot's official web-site in the end of January with the lowest all-in one-way fare starting from USD88.
Scoot's Singapore–Laos circular route will be effective from April,1. Flights will depart from Singapore and head to Luanga Prabang first, then cover the Luang Prabang–Vientiane leg and finally return to Singapore from Vientiane. Scoot announced that these routes were transferred to the airline by their sister airline SilkAir and thus starting from April, 2019 Scoot will be the only airline to serve direct Singapore–Laos routes.
Scoot chief executive officer Lee Lik Hsin said: "We are thrilled to welcome Laos to our network. We are confident that the addition of Vientiane and Luang Prabang will boost Scoot's proposition as a network carrier offering refreshing travel opportunities for those seeking authentic experiences off the beaten track."
