Blizzards can easily result in flight disruptions and with some two million travellers expected to visit the event, delays can be a huge problem. 2. Bring warm clothes
It is cold in Sapporo this time of the year and a visit to the festival means spending much time outdoors. Layers – termal underware, a middle layer and a heavy coat – are a good idea.
