Zootopia Themed Zone to Appear in Shanghai Disney Resort

World's first Zootopia-themed land will be built within Shanghai Disney Resort in China. It will become the eighth themed area of the park which was opened to the public on June, 16, 2016, and became the first Disney Park Resort in mainland China.

The new park area will feature settings and characters from Disney's 55th production which is also one of the latest and most popular animated films, Zootopia, released in 2016. Construction work on Zootopia zone in Shanghai Disney Resort is due to commence later this year. It will usher in the second major expansion of the park.

During the first phase of expansion the Disney and Pixar's Toy Story Land zone was added to the park and it was completed less than a year ago. Such speedy rate of expansion clearly demonstrates the popularity of Disney's themed parks in China and also shows the intention of the company to proceed with their development in the country.

In Zootopia zone at Shanghai Disney Resort, the favourite characters of the 3D animated comedy film will come to life. Visitors will be able to embark on a thrilling adventure with Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde and fully immerse themselves in the world of Zootopia.
