Majalengka Gets Direct Flight from Yogyakarta

Yogyakarta and Majalengka in West Java, Indonesia, are now connected by a direct flight performed by Wings Air and fully operational since January, 11.

Three flights a week are currently scheduled for this route: on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The flying time is about 70 minutes and the aircrafts serving the route take on board up to 72 passengers.

Flights from Adisucipto International Airport in Yogyakarta take off at 12.20 pm and land in Kertajati International Airport in Majalengka at 1.30 pm. In the opposite direction, flights depart from Majalengka at 1.50 pm and arrive to Yogyakarta at 3 pm.

With the opening of the West Java International Airport (BIJB) in the Kertajati, Majalengka is already dubbed the new gateway to the amazing beauty of West Java. Sitting 70 km east of the capital of West Java, Bandung, Majalengka is a hidden gem with attractions ranging from Instagrammable tea plantation of Cipasung and Talaga Herang, a stunningly clear lake in the jungle to wonderful waterfalls of Cipeutuey and Muara Jaya, to a unique cultural attraction, a shrine of the Padjadjaran Kingdom's king.

For Wings Air Majalengka became the third destination in West Java after Bandung and Tasikmalaya. In total, Wings Air serves 118 domestic and international destinations with over 350 flights performed each day.
