Two More Direct Flights to Link China and Cambodia

Two more direct flights are launched between China and Cambodia in December, 2018 – January, 2019. The first one will establishes an airlink between Sihanoukville in Cambodia and Tianjin in China; the second one will connect the two capital cities.

Cambodia JC International Airlines based in Phnom Penh and operating since March 2017, have added a new SihanoukvilleTianjin route operational since December, 11. The flight to China takes off from Sihanouk International Airport at 6.15 pm and lands in Tianjin Binhai International Airport at 12.15 am. The return flight leaves Tianjin at 1.15 am and arrives to its destination at 5.30 am. The flight duration is five hours. The route will be served twice a week, on Tuesday and Saturday.

Air China, the national flag carrier of China, has announced the launch of the direct BeijingPhnom Penh route since January, 7, 2019. There will be three flights a week between the two capitals, on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. The outbound flight leaves Beijing at 7.10 pm and lands in Phnom Penh at 11.40 pm, five and a half hours later. The inbound flight from Cambodia leaves at 12.45 am and lands at 6.25 am. 

The opening of the new direct flights are due to the rising demand. The tourist flow of Chinese guests to Cambodia is getting momentum and the airlines see huge potential for new China–Cambodia routes.
