Held each year under different themes, this year's topic is 'Zap Nua Hua Muan – Happy Flavours' celebrating the culinary delights of the northeastern region of the country.
The farm will be open for visitors for one month only – from Saturday, December, 8, 2018 to January, 6, 2019. Opening hours are from 9 am to 5 pm. Tickets are available both at the farm entrance or for advanced booking at Thai Ticket Major outlets and online; Jim Thompson Flagship Store at Siam Paragon; Jim Thompson Retail Shops on Surawong, Central World and The Emporium; Jim Thompson House and Museum; the Jim Thompson outlet at Palio Khao Yai; Home Sa-orn (in front of Jim Thompson Farm); Hor Kum Koon in Pak Thong Chai, Nakhon Ratchasima THB180/THB150 for adults and THB130/THB100 for children on weekdays; THB220/THB180 for adults and THB160/THB140 for children on weekends.
Some of the highlights of the visit to the farm include a 50-rai field of pink cosmos and a multicoloured garden of the fruits and vegetables; a chance to witness the process of Jim Thompson’s silk production, from reeling and yarn bleaching through to dyeing with natural dyes and weaving; and of course, buying some locally produced souvenirs.
