When the new service is launched, it will reduce the travel time to under three and a half hours.
Bangkok–Colombo is the 21st international route of Thai Lion Air, the majority of which are between Thailand and a variety of Chinese destinations. Thai Lion Air also connects Thailand with India, Indonesia, Japan, Singapore, Taiwan and Vietnam; Bangkok–Dhaka (in Bangladesh) route has been launched recently.
In 2018, Thai Lion Air which was awarded CAPA Asia Pacific Low Cost Airline of the Year.
