To use a bike from one of the bike stations around the city, it is necessary to download the JoggyBike application. All bicycles have a smart lock, live location system installed and are equipped with an anti-theft system. Currently there are four locations where bikes are available: Loco Café, Malioboro Mall, Kepatihan and Vrederburg Fort which will soon be joined by many others. The service operates daily from 8 am. to 9 pm. In total over 1,000 bicycles will be available for rent.
The aim of this bicycle-sharing initiative is to boost tourism in Yogja encouraging visitors to get involved into the cit's life and to promote sustainable tourism and green transportation.
