Direct Flights from Jakarta to Labuan Bajo with Citilink Start This October

Citilink, a low-cost subsidiary of the Indonesian national flag carrier Garuda, has announced opening a direct route between the capital city of Jakarta and Labuan Bajo, Flores, East Indonesia.

The representatives of Citilink Indonesia underlined that the new route is the airline's contribution to the development of the national tourism facilitating access to the world-class tourist destinations in Flores

The maiden flight will take off from Jakarta's Soekarno-Hatta International Airport at 12 noon on October, 29th and land at Komodo airport at 3.20 pm. The return flight is scheduled to leave Labuan Bajo at 3.50 pm and arrive to the capital at 5.05 pm. The flying time is about two hours and 20 minutes. The route will be surved by an Airbus A320 accommodating up to 180 passengers.

Once a small fishing village in the western part of Flores, today Labuan Bajo is the main gateway to Komodo and Rinca islands, where the famous Komodo dragons reside. Other draws of the region include amazing snorkelling and diving opportunities off the shores of Bidadari, Seraya, Sabolo, Kanawa and Sebayur islands, all easily reached from Labuan Bajo. Kalong island located on the route to the popular Rinca island is home to huge bats, also known as flying foxes.
