Off-Season Tickets to Universal Studios Japan to Become Cheaper

One of the four Universal Studios theme parks in the world, the Universal Studios Japan, located in the western city of Osaka, will offer promotion on admission tickets during the off-season period from January, 10th till January, 31st 2019.

A new price system is aimed at beating the congestion in the park and stumulating guests to visit during less crowded periods. The reduced prices for January will be JPY7,400 (USD65) for adults and kids over 12 y.o. and JPY5,100 (USD45) for kids between 4 and 11 y.o. For comparision, in February and March the full-fare admission tickets for adults and kids above 12 y.o. will be priced between JPY8,200-8,700 (USD72-76) depending on the day of the week one decides to visit.

Opened on March, 31st, 2001, last year the Universal Studios Japan welcomed about 14 million visitors. The park occupies a plot of land of 54 ha and is devided into ten areas including the recently opened The Wizarding World of Harry Potter which has arguably become the main draw of the whole park. Other areas are Hollywood, New York City, San Franscisco, Jurassic Park, Minion Park, Universal Wonderland, WaterWorld, Amity Island and Super Nintendo World.
