A Group’s co-chair, Ho Vandy, bases his proposal on the positive experience of the Vietnamese tourism industry. Visa-free regime at Phu Quoc Island influenced extremely positive  on the development of tourism and economy.

However, according to the government such a measure is unlikely to be effective, because the bulk of tourists visiting Cambodia, primarily interested in Siem Reap and Angkor Wat, where they need to get a visa. “It be quite difficult to manage a visa-free policy at just one destination,” – he said.
