The First Indian 'Park for Dogs' to Open in Hyderabad

The Kondapur region in Hyderabad, India, will soon have its own 'Dog Park' – the first ever park in India made for all dogs buffs and dogs. It features all possible (and impossible) facilities to make your four-leg friends happier than ever.

Inspired by the Western concept of pets park already existing in many European countries, the dog park in Hyderabad is a brainchild of a single man who by chance happened to be a Zonal Commissioner of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC). Thanks to his efforts, the former 'dumping site' is now a must-visit destination for all dog lovers. The park covers an area os 1.3 acres. It took the local government about one year to complete its construction which cost INR11 million.
Besides a variety of lawns and landscaped gardens where you can take your pets out for a walk or some phisical exrecise, there will be a training centre in the park where certified cynologist will provide basic training to dogs; splash pools for dogs to have some water fun, a dog cafe as well as the vet centre with vaccination available for pets. There will be two separate zones for big and small dogs, too.
If cat lovers feel neglected – there's no need to as the GHMC is planning to open a cats' corner meeting all the international standards soon, too.
