According to the State Railway of Thailand’s governor, Praphat Chongsa-nguan its legal department is developing new regulations which will ban alcohol sale and drink in the trains. Such rules were entailed by a recent incident, in which a temporary SRT worker raped and threw out the window 13-year-old girl. He was drunk, the girl died.
SRT plans to allow passenger to take alcohol in the train but the drinking will be prohibited. Praphat Chongsa-nguan also said that special woman carriages may appear in Thai trains later.
