Sand Festival in Singapore Is Under Way Right Now!

The biggest sand festival in the whole Southeast Asia, Sentosa Sandsation, is under way at Sentosa, Singapore. It has started on September, 1st and will run till Spetember, 16th – two weeks of sand and fun filled days!

The Sentosa Express and drive-in via car are completely free for locals and Singapore residents during the festival. For foreign visitors, the fares for entering Sentosa remain as usual, and the admission to all the evnts is free for all.

This time the festival is MARVEL-themed. The Siloso Beach will be visited by Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, Hulk and other Super Heroes – in their sand incarnation, of course. There will be 15 large-scale sculptures in total. During the Sentosa International Sand Sculpting Championship 14 talented sand scultors from around the world will compete to win the Golden Shovel Award.

For kids, there will be sand sculpting workshops every day of the festival. The registration is completely free but compuslory. On September 8 and 9 there will be a graffiti drawing session on Siloso Beach which will allow you to see the new attractions of the Singapore being created. Finally, movie-goers can watch a movie by the beach from today till September, 9 and September 15-16. Come to Palawan Beach by 7.45pm.
