The Philippines connect to Myanmar

The Philippines unit of the regional budget carrier Air Asia, which known as Air Asia Zest, aimed at opening flights to Myanmar, Civil Aeronautics Board reported. At that time the main carrier of the Philippines Cebu Pacific Air and its subsidiary Tiger Airways Philippines already filed for 1,260 seats to Myanmar each.

The Philippines unit of the regional budget carrier Air Asia, which known as Air Asia Zest, aimed at opening flights to Myanmar, Civil Aeronautics Board reported.

The airline plans to launch one daily flight from Manila to Yangon as the most popular destination in Myanmar. At that time the main carrier of the Philippines Cebu Pacific Air and its subsidiary Tiger Airways Philippines already filed for 1,260 seats to Myanmar each. Air Asia Zest needs 1,260 weekly seats and new memorandum between Myanmar and Philippines allows a total of 3,780 seats or three flights per week. It means that in nearest future flights to Yangon and other Myanmar cities from the Philippines will be more.

The memorandum also lets the parties to operate unlimited number of flights between all destinations in Myanmar and all destinations in the Philippines, except Manila.
