Airports of Vietnam are struggling with birds

Last year at airports of Vietnam birds colliding with aircraft created emergency more than 10 times. Realizing the seriousness of the situation, the Vietnamese authorities have developed a program to combat birds at airports.

Last year at airports of Vietnam birds colliding with aircraft created emergency more than 10 times. They threatened aviation safety at airports in Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Vinh in the north region, Vietnam Pleiku in the Central Highlands and Rach Gia in the Mekong Delta province.

Realizing the seriousness of the situation, the Vietnamese authorities have developed a program to combat birds at airports. Special staff was hired to monitor the birds and their seasonal migration. Traps and equipment to scare birds away will be installed at the main airports of Vietnam to increase safety.
