To celebrate the day in a special manner, the The State Railway of Thailand (SRT) and the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) invite everybody to have a trip on a steam train which will ply the route between Bangkok and Nakhon Pathom stopping at some of the most interesting attractions along the way. The trip will be offered during one day only – Sunday, August, 12th.
The train will depart Hua Lamphong railway station in Bangkok on Sunday, 8am and will take about 2 hours to reach Nakhon Pathom with stops at Sam Sen, Bang Sue, Taling Chan, and Bang Bamru. The return trip will leave Nakhon Pathom railway station at 4.30pm arriving to Bangkok by 6.20pm.
There are two options available for booking: seats only for THB250 or a package deal for THB999 which will also include breakfast, lunch, a boat tour along Maha Sawat canal and a visit to Phra Pathom Chedi.
