First Ever Theme Park in Vietnam Opens in Hoi An

A new theme park opened in the coastal province of Quang Nam in central Vietnam on July, 28th.

Hoi An Impression theme park is located in the historical town of Hoi An and sits on Hen island in Hoai River. It is the first ever theme ark in Vietnam and is expected to quickly become one of the most visited tourist attractions of Hoi An.

The park helps visualize the glory days of Hoi An when back in the 16th century the town was an important trading centre of the Southeast Asia, sitting strategically right on the legendary Silk Road. From there silk products spread from all around Vietnam to the Western countries as well as to Japan and China. The story of Hoi An and the regions the town used to have close economic relations with during that time is told through heritage architecture, which forms an impressive background for traditional Vietnamese performances, demonstration of ceremonies and rites as well as colourful folk festivals.

Located 800 km southeast of Hanoi and 930 km northeast of Ho Chi Minh, Hoi An is best reached from Da Nang either by bus or taxi. The whole trip takes between 40 and 50 minutes. Danang is well connected to the rest of the country and features an international airport, a railway station and bus terminals.
