See Kyushu, Japan from Your Train Carriage Window

Thanks to the growing number of Chinese travellers heading to Japan in general and to the island of Kyushu in particular, Alibaba Group has joined hands with JR Kyushu to offer scenic railway tours – hopefully not only Chinese tourists will benefit from collaboration.

A five-day Kyushu tours are designed to explore Japan in a railway-themed manner. It will be no ordinary train ride as a historic deluxe excursion Aru Ressha train as well as similar themed trains operated by Kyushu will be used. The tours will include a stay in a hot springs hotel, a visit to the largest active volcano in Japan, Mount Aso, and a meeting with Kumamon to name a few entries of the programme. The maiden tours are planned for China’s National Day Golden Week in October.

If you need more luxury, Kyushu Railways got you covered, too, with their Seven Stars, the first luxury sleeper train in Japan. The train was inaugurated in October 2013 and since then offers 2 day 1 night and 4 day 3 night journeys which allow the travelles to get acquainted with 5 perfectures of Kyushu – Fukuoka, Oita, Miyazaki, Kagoshima and Kumamoto – and stay at one of the most traditional ryokans in Japan.
