Ratchaburi Is Calling All Art Lovers This August

Ratchaburi Art Centric Festival is back! This year, the event featuring creative works of craftsmen and artists from all over the province will take place from August, 10th till August, 12th.

One of the most outstanding events in the Tourist Authority of Thaialnd's calendar, Art Centric will be celebrated along the riverfront of Mae Khlong river. There are four zones planned. The first one is allocated to the interactive hands-on art exhibition; the second one will be filled with local delicacies and signature Ratchaburi dishes showcasing eating habits and local flavours. The third zone is the realm of music with non-stop concerts going on all the three days of the event. In the last, fourth zone there will be an art supermarket with a plenthora of creations produced by local designers and craftsmen.

Besides, the visitors will have a chance to try their hand in creating water jars Ratchaburi is so famous for and attend Nang Yai Wat Khanon light and shadow puppet performance, one more traditional art of Ratchaburi

Ratchaburi is located about 100 km west of Bangkok, an easy 90 minutes car ride or a slightly longer bus trip or train journey. Combine your visit to the Art Centric festival with checking out the main tourist attractions of Ratchaburi including the national museum where artifacts from different periods of Ratchaburi history are displayed and the most well-known of all floating markets in Thailand, Damnoen Saduak floating market.
