The international airport on Philippines' Palawan Island, which was included in aviation safety blacklist of USA last month, will be upgraded due to South Korea’s investments.

The international airport on Philippines' Palawan Island, which was included in aviation safety blacklist of USA last month, will be upgraded due to South Korea’s investments.

Palawan is one of the most popular destinations of ecotourism in Phillipines. According to plan up to 2017 year it will become modern, world-class airport with capacity 2 million passengers per year. Now the capacity of Palawan Airport is 350,000 passengers, but it already operates more than 1,3 million travelers and is very congested because of it.
