VietJet Now Flies Direct between Hanoi and Taichung

Last week the Vietnamese budget airline VietJet performed its first direct flight between the capital city of Vietnam, Hanoi, and Taichung in Taiwan.

The flying distance between Hanoi and Taichung is about 1560 km and it takes 2 hours 30 minutes to get both ways.

There are five daily flights – on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday departing from Noi Bai International airport in Hanoi at 1pm with the return flight taking off from Taichung International airport, formerly known as Ching Chuan Kang Airport, at 5.30pm.

VietJet already operates direct flights between Vietnam and Taiwan offering seats on two routes originating in Hanoi (Hanoi–Kaosiung; HanoiTaipei Taiwan Taoyuan), and four routes from Ho Chi Minh City (Ho Chi Minh City–Kaosiung, Ho Chi Minh City–Taipei (Taiwan Taoyuan), Ho Chi Minh City–Tainan, Ho Chi Minh City–Taichung) thus covering the wider network of Vietnam–Taiwan routes than any other local airline.
