New Metro lines in Bangkok are in progress

Bangkok Metropolitan Administration works on a lot of projects to expand the Thai capital transport system. Here is the last results of new Bangkok lines constraction.

Bangkok Metropolitan Administration works on a lot of projects to expand the Thai capital transport system. Present Skytrain, MRT and buses don’t cope with the increasing number of residents and visitors in Bangkok.

One part of the transportation projects is at various stages of planning, but some of them are under construction already.

Here is the last results of new Bangkok lines constraction.

Purple Line: Bang Sue to Bang Yai (23 km) – 47% finished. Due to open in 2016.
Blue Line: Bang Sue to Bang Khae (27 km) – 21% finished. Due to open in 2017.
Dark Green Line: Bearing to Samut Prakan (12.8 km) 10% finished. Due to open in 2016.
