Cambodia Welcomes New Airline Ready to Take Off

Cambodia Airways, a new airline in Cambodia, is staring operation in a cause of few weeks. Owned by a local company, Prince International Airlines, it will serve both domestic and international destinations.

The air operator’s certificate (AOC) for the company is about to be issued not later than the first week of July, and after it is obtained, the first flights will be scheduled immediately. Cambodia Airways already has the initial approval by the Council for the Development of Cambodia received last August as well as the certification of incorporation from the Ministry of Commerce dated last September.
Domestically Cambodia Airways will operate flights between the three major cities – Phnom Penh, Siem Reap and Sihanoukville, but the main focus will be on international destinations, especially the Chinese ones. This goes in line with the government's intention to attract more Chinese visitors to the Kingdom.

During the next five years flights to other regional destinations will be added to the network, including Korea, Japan, China, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan with further plans to reach Europe and Australia, too.
