The blooming season of Siam tulip, or Dok Krachiao as it is known in Thai, which is considered one of the most exquisite and beautiful flowers of the country is an annual event celebrated during a three-month summer festival lasting from June through August.
The two main destinations for those who would like to admire Chayaphum's native flowers are Pa Hin Ngam National Park in Thep Sathit district and Sai Thong National Park in Nong Bua Ra Haew district.
Besides blooming Siam tulips, the two national parks offer visitors a truly amazing scenery and endless trekking opportunities. Pa Hin Ngam is famous for its unusual rock formations – the result of erosion which turned stones into weired gigantic figures. Sai Thong National Park features an extremely popular cliff-edge viewpoint and several 80m wide waterfalls. Though best visited during summer, both national parks are a year-round destination.
Chayaphum is best reached from Bangkok via a 5-hour bus ride from Morchit bus terminal.

The Siam tulip blooming season in Thep Sathit district of Chayaphum province in the northeast of Thailand has been ushered in with an official opening ceremony held by Governor of Chaiyaphum at Pa Hin Ngam National Park this weekend.
