Melaka to Host a New World Class Theatre Show Soon

The 'Encore Melaka' theatre, a new cultural attraction in Melaka aimed at attracting more foreign tourists to the state, is set to open on July, 1. 

The show will last 70 minutes and will be held at Impression City, a multi-billion ringgit development at Kota Laksamana. It will make the spectators acqainted with local tales and unveil the six centuries of history of Melaka from the early times through the colonial period to present days. It took the production team nearly two years to study the culture, traditions and history of Melaka and find the best way to wrap them into an involving state-of-the-art show carried out by 200 performers.  

The founders of Encore Melaka are sure their theatre extravaganza will soon gain the level of recogntion of the Bangkok-based Siam Niramit Show or The House of Dancing Water in Macau.

Sitting 150 km south of Kuala Lumpur, Melaka is dubbed the Historic State mostly for its heritagec old town. It is a popular tourist destination attracting over 15 mln visitors yearly, with almost a quater of whom come from overseas. Melaka offers an abandunce of museums and galleries, busy markets and boasts a selection of well-preseved historic buildings. Encore Melaka will add to the vast list of city attractions a completely new sight.
