7 Attractions in Asia Have Made It to Top-25 World Landmarks List

Seven important attractions in Asia have been choisen by TripAdvisor's readers as top landmarks worldwide.

The famous Angkor Wat which is a part of the archeological park of Angkor in Cambodia tops the list of the most notable landmarks in the world. It was named the best landmark for the second year in row and the tour operators in Cambodia expect this fact will contribute to the growth of number of tourists coming to visit the temple complex.

The third and the 19th places were given to the attractions in the UAE: the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Center in Abu Dhabi and Burj Khalifa, the tallest man-made structure in the world from Dubai.

The magnificent Taj Mahal in Agra, India, came the 6th. Wat Pho, or Temple of the Reclining Buddha in the capital of Thailand, Bangkok, occupies the 17th place followed by Mituanyu Great Wall in China the rather low rating of the latter being a surprise. The two last entires of the list both come from Asia, too: the 24th is Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine in Kyoto, Japan, and the 25th is the golden and glittering Schwedagon Pagoda in Yangon, Myanmar.
