The Vietnamese Ministry of Transport with  the municipal People’s Committee are developing the plan to introduce monorail system in Hanoi.

The Vietnamese Ministry of Transport with  the municipal People’s Committee are developing the plan to introduce monorail system in Hanoi. It should reduce traffic congestions on the roads and connect existing railway routes.

The Transport Engineering Design Incorporation will deal with the technical planning of the project. As planned the monorail in Hanoi will be equipped with 14 stations on track 4.5 metres above the ground, the trains will have speed around 70 kph.
