Laguna Phuket Marathon to be Held on June 9 and 10

This year the most famous Southeast Asian marathon will take place on June 9 and 10. The international event is organized by Go Adventure and will be held at the Laguna Phuket resort complex on Bang Tao Beach.

2018 is the thirteenth year of this qualifying event for the Boston Marathon which is expected to attract 8 thousand runners from more than fifty countries.

Five categories of competitions to take place are: a 10.5-km and a 5 km races with 2,000 runners each; a 2 km kids run with 300 runners. The first starts at 5 p.m., the second starts at 5.20 p.m., the kids run at 4 p.m. on June 9. On June 10 2,000 participants run a 42.195 km marathon, 2,000 run half marathon 21.091 km long and 80 teams of four members compete in a marathon team relay. The first and the third events start at 4.30, the half marathon starts and hour later. The athletes will run through the tropical forest, rubber and pineapple plantation, Phuket’s beaches, little villages and the Laguna Phuket.
