The Cambodian leader, Prime Minister Hun Sen called people to drive safely during Songkran, traditional Khmer New Year. This is the main holiday of the country which is known as the time of the greatest number of accidents on the roads.

Hun Sen instructed officers to control traffic at this time with maximum attention and try to reduce the number of traffic accidents, which is the main cause of drunk driving. He also appealed to the youth asking them not to throw bags of water and powder at passing vehicles and passersby.
