Dok Krachiao Flower Festival to Be Held from June 1 to September 30 in Chaiyaphum Province

The Siam Tulip, or Dok Krachiao Festival, 2018 is scheduled for June 1-September 30 at two national parks of Chayaphum province – Pa Hin Ngam and Sai Thong.

Every year the Tourism Authority of Thailand and the Chaiyaphum Province join their efforts in organizing activities to see the fields of pink Krachiao flowers and the rock garden, listen to live music performances, take part in trekking and visit a local fair with its native products.

Pa Hin Ngam Park attracts the visitors by its bizarre shaped rocks having been formed by wind and rain for millions of years. The fields and meadows abound in Siam tulips giving them a wonderful pink-white colour. They look mysterious at foggy dawn when the sun is rising. In both national parks there are viewpoints offering spectacular views and waterfalls – Namtok Thep Prathen and Namtok Thep Phanom in Pa Hin Ngam and Sai Thong Waterfall in the other park, where a water stream cascades down the rocks from about 100 metres.

The province of Chaiyaphum is also well-known for Mor Hin Khao – the Stonehenge of Thailand which is in Phu Laenkha National Park.
