AirAsia-Sarawak Tourism Board to Promote Music Festivals and Boost Visitors

AirAsia, the low-coaster, in partnership with Sarawak Tourism Board in Malaysia will promote Borneo Jazz and Rainforest World Music Festivals.

The air carrier is constantly making efforts to increase the number of guests coming to Sarawak from 23 countries it flies to. Promoting festivals is important, but introducing diverse cultural identities, unique folk traditions and eco-tourism are also in the focus of attention.

In 2017 4.3 million visitors came to Sarawak by AirAsia and there are hopes that this year will see the increase up to 5.25 million adding the people coming to Kuching and Miri

Under the partnership AirAsia allows customers all-in-fares starting from RM79 one-way from Kuala Lumpur to Miri, from RM129 one-way from Penang, Melbourne Hong Kong and other places to Miri. The offer is relevant to April 30, 2018 for a period until September 30, 2018 on the site of the company.

AirAsia is connected with five destinations from Miri and 12 destinations from Kuching.

Borneo Jazz Festival will take place in Miri on May 11-13, Rainforest World Music Festival will be held in Kuching on July 13-15. Both are international music festivals drawing tens of thousands fans from all over the world.
