G Adventures Introduce New Sailing Trip Along Sri Lanka's East Coast

A new sea voyage along the east coast of Sri Lanka has been added to the sailing trip along the south coast initiated in February. The voyage is quite popular being 90 per cent sold out.

Both itineraries complement each other. A sea trip along the east coast runs from July to September of the current year, the south coast tour operates from November this year to April next year. The south of the country is more populated than the north, thus giving an opportunity of more on-land excursions. The east coast is sparsely populated but allows experience snorkelling.

During both voyages travellers can enjoy whale-watching and go kayaking or use two stand-up paddle boards onboard. Both trips are performed on a new 52-foot catamaran carrying eight passengers launched this year. It has four double cabins with potholes, pop-up skylights and en-suite bathrooms. An excursion to Koneswaram Temple and snorkelling in Pigeon Island National Park are on the programme.G Adventures was the first to offer small group trips along the coasts of the country.

Travellers are accompanied by a local chief experience officer (CEO), skipper and cook.G Adventures offers itineraries in various parts of the world.
