Da Nang, Vietnam, Hosts International Photo Exhibition on April 24-May 3

About 250 photos of almost 200 photographers have been selected for the international photo exhibition to take place at the Da Nang Museum. 

The exhibition, held to mark the Reunification Day celebrated on April 30 and Labour Day on May 1, will be open to the public from April 24 till May 3. 

The photos have been selected from 11,000 images from 36 countries having participated in the 9th Viet Nam International Artistic Photo Competition in 2017. The pictures show landscapes, portraits, everyday life scenes. 88 of the snapshots got awards and certificates of the Viet Nam Artistic Photo Association and the International Federation of Photographic Art.

The museum to host the exhibition was opened in 1989, later it was rebuilt on a historical site of the old citadel and opened in 2011. The museum possesses modern audio-visual equipment and light systems. Eclectic displays of valuable ancient artifacts and documents, the majority of which are originals, giving a glimpse of the Da Nang history, culture and life style, the period of French and American wars, are exhibited on three floors covering 3,000 square metres. 11 cannons, war relics found at the site, are displayed, too.
