Travelling in Malaysia to Become Safer With New Mobile App

Tourism Malaysia has launched a mobile application My Tourist AssistTM to make travelling around the country safer. A similar app Ur Safe was launched in India. The only thing to do is to download the app, add the profile and an emergency contact. It can be downloaded on Google Play or App Store.

The app was created by UST Global working with large Malaysian associations.

Malaysia is one of the most frequently visited countries in the world, millions of tourists from all over the world come to the country every year. The issue of their safety in case of natural disasters arises. With the help of SOS button one can send an alarm signal to their family and relatives and security forces. ‘Essential Services’ let tourists connect with the police, hospitals, pharmacy, railway and filling stations. One selects the service on his phone and sees its position on the map. Tourism Malaysia recommends the app should be used by all tourists. It would be updated in the course of time.

The creators of the app express confidence that it will be very useful to tourists and will make their journey in Malaysia much safer.
