Wet-Wet-Wet! Are you ready to get wet?

Songkran, or the Thai New Year, is almost here! 12Go.Asia wish you to have the happiest celebration ever and enjoy the most important festival of the year. We have some useful tips to share to help keep you safe during this festival.

Also, if youare travelling with 12Go.Asia during this period, get one of these waterproof pouches you see on the pics to keep your documents and valuables dry in the midst of street water fights.
  –     Get ready to get wet. In major tourist areas water fights continue from morning till night everywhere. Yes, we mean EVERYWHERE you go. You will get wet through if you venture out in the street, 100% sure.
–     Keep your mobile phone and cash in waterproof pouches otherwise say them goodbye. If you are going to film/take pictures, use waterproof boxes.
–     If you are participating in water fights, do not splash water on motorbike drivers and try not to pore it into other people’s faces, eyes, ears.
–     Do not drink alcohol. Or, if you do, do not drive. This year the authorities are promoting an ‘alcohol-free’ Songkran. Well...
–     Dress properly. Transparent t-shirts will become even more transparent when wet. With short shorts and sleeveless t-shirts you will have your wet skin totally exposed to sun – severe sunburn guaranteed.
–     Have fun!
