Train routes to the South to be opened

As State Railway of Thailand governor reported southern train routes to resume on Wednesday night. The first reopened train to be No. 41 leaving Hua Lamphong station at 10.50pm.

The movement of southern trains was suspended since 27 August after rubber farmers blocked the railway in Cha-uat district of Nakhon Si Thammarat province. They asked Thai Government to increase rubber fares.

As State Railway of Thailand governor reported southern train routes to resume on Wednesday night. The first reopened train to be No. 41 leaving Hua Lamphong station at 10.50pm. After that other trains will leave in the usual mode.

The loyalty of protesters were due to the government’s promise to reconsider guaranteed price for unsmoked rubber sheet. Rubber farmers gave a 1 week for the government  to make a decision, if their demands will not be met, southern trains will turn up at risk zone again.
