Non-stop from Australia to Europe

The first non-stop flight from Australia to Europe departed on the 24th of March from Perth and arrived on the 25th in London, Heathrow. It lasted 17 hours 20 minutes which ranks it among the longest flights in the world. 

Boeing 787 carried 200 passengers and the crew of 16. The way to Europe has become at least three hours shorter in comparison with flights with stops in the Middle East. The company which performed the flight is Qantas, the biggest Australian air carrier, thus having become among a number oflong-distance international airlines. 

Other longest flights in the world are operated by Qatar Airways from Auckland to Doha – 14,500 km in about 18 hours, from Auckland to Dubai – 14,200km in 17 and a half hours, United Airlines from Los Angeles to Singapore –14,100 km in 17 hours 20 min – which is the flight covering the longest distance from the US anywhere, United Airlines flight from Houston to Sydney –13,800 in 17 and a half hours. The longest flights were also performed by Singapore Airlines from Singapore to New York from 2004 to 2013 and covered over 15,000 km in 19 hours. The flights are going to be continued.
