Indian Hotels Company Ltd. (IHCL), the parent company of Taj Hotels, is planning to reimburse the expenses for the increase in the family of women employees. They have got an intention of retaining female workers and at the same time ensuring their promotion.
Taj Hotels reported that they are ready to pay for In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF) for their women employees if necessary. These items have never been included into medical insurance. Taj Hotels will also stimulate admitting women applicants.
Dr PV Murthy, global head of human resources, IHCL explained that they have consistently defended the interests of women and the latest decisions of the extension of the coverage of medical insurance show serious intentions to involve women in work for the company performing various roles. The company hopes that women will be encouraged to come and work for them, though the families might be against their leaving the job to have more children. The programme will help women plan the family and make a career.
