Turkish Airlines Add Two More Weekly Flights from Istanbul to Phuket

The present four weekly flights of the Turkish Airlines will increase to six in the second decade of September to last till the end of October 2018. The flights will be performed by an A330-300 plane. The flights arrive at Phuket early in the morning after taking off at Istanbul in the afternoon the previous day.   

The winterschedule from November till March has not been specified yet, but six flights aweek are expected or even more for high season. There are also two daily flightsfrom Istanbul to Bangkok which have been performed since 1989. Turkish Airlineshas a codeshare agreement with Bangkok Airways thanks to which their passengersare connected to Thailand and other Southeast countries. 

Last year Tourism Authority of Thailand signed a Memorandumof Understanding (an MOU) with Turkish Airlines on tourism cooperation which isaimed at promoting Thailand. It will ensure financial support and collaborationin joint promotional activities, focusing on sport tourism, wedding andhoneymoon as well as on gastronomic tourism to enhance the number of visitorswho arrive in Thailand by Turkish Airlines.  

Familiarization visits from major European markets are to beorganized, too. The MOU will be carried on to November 2018.
