Speaking to news sources on the southern Thai island, Watchara Jaruariyanon said the buses would stop at west coast beach towns including Surin and Kata en route to the terminus at Rawai. He added that the company would be utilising a fleet of 10 Mercedes-Benz buses with seating for 25 passengers.
The buses themselves are designed for airport routes and have extra luggage space, wheelchair ramps and modern CCTV. The company aims to run buses at 30 to 35 minute intervals. 12GO ASIA says the bus service will offer an extra choice for passengers arriving at and departing from Phuket Airport.
There is already a bus route to the bus station in Phuket Town. Other choices are limousine and hotel shuttle transfers, taxi and car hire. Ten car hire suppliers, such as Hertz and Europcar, are represented at Phuket Airport.
