Bangkok's prison will be turned into transport hub

Klong Prem Central Prison in the North area of Bangkok will be trasformed to transportation complex. The project will cost about 45 billion baht and will cover an area of 5 million square metre.

Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister of Thailand has informed about the state plan to transform Klong Prem Central Prison in the North area of Bangkok to transportation complex for the planned monorail train routes linking Khae Rai district with Lam Salee. The project will cost about 45 billion baht and will cover an area of 5 million square metre.

The new monorail line will be connected with other incoming lines and will be laid along Ngarmwongwan Road, which will become a residential zone according state plan.

Except new monorail station transport complex on the prison’s place will include commercial assets such a community mall, retail shops, serviced apartments and
Hotels.
